Session to Highlight Ways NLP Can Transcend Interoperability Issues, Helping Care Partners to Improve Patient Outcomes and Maximize Revenue
The session, “360º Risk Adjustment: Health Plan and Provider Perspectives,” will be moderated by Steve Whitehurst, Chief Executive Officer at Health Fidelity. Panelists will be Wynda Clayton, MS, RHIT, Risk Adjustment Manager, Providence Health Plan; Mari Finley, Executive Vice President, Silverback Care Management, North Texas Specialty Physicians BOD; and Dr. Adele Towers MPH, FACP, Director Risk Adjustment, UPMC Enterprises.
“The days of payers and providers working from different data sets, drawing different conclusions about care optimization are ending,” Whitehurst said. “The forward-thinking organizations represented on this panel know that how you exchange intelligence with your partners is absolutely critical to improving your outcomes and getting better results for patients. They’ve seen how NLP can circumvent interoperability issues to harness vast amounts of administrative, clinical, and unstructured data to better identify, prioritize, and confirm population risk.”
Panelists will share their experiences with NLP-enabled payer-provider collaboration tools in pursuit of risk adjustment optimization. They will review the ways they’ve leveraged NLP to enhance prospective identification, point-of-care documentation, pre-claim billing accuracy, and retrospective reviews across multiple patient populations simultaneously. Another point of discussion will address how AI, machine learning, and analytics impact risk adjustment ROI through the improvement of clinical, financial, and operational outcomes.
In addition to being a RISE Platinum Sponsor, Health Fidelity will also offer live demonstrations of its comprehensive risk adjustment solutions for health plans and risk-bearing providers at Booth 66 throughout the two-day event. Health Fidelity offers the industry’s leading NLP-powered risk adjustment and compliance application to help risk-bearing organizations improve performance through more insightful and accurate risk identification and management.
